 This
is Snowbird Heaven! Valle del Oro RV Resort in Mesa, Arizona
has over 1800 spaces (mostly park models. Our "campsite"
was in a pet section next to the tennis courts. We were just
a short walk from the central core which has two large swimming
pools, two spas, a huge laundry, a sauna, ballroom, sewing room,
exercise room and pool room. The sites are reasonable in size
and have concrete patios and full hook-ups. Flowers were in full
bloom and the landscaping was excellent. Other facilities included
restrooms and showers, security, public phone, adult  rooms,
shuffleboard, horseshoes, tennis, driving range, and exercise
room.
We took advantage of off season rates ($11.00 per night) and
really enjoyed our stay. However, less than 20 percent of the
sites were occupied. How busy the park may be during the peak
season (October-March) one can only imagine. Don't miss understand
this comment. Valle del Oro is a top notch snowbird destination
that offers just about any activity an individual might be interested
in attempting. However, from the perspective of this SavvyCamper
it's a bit too large.
