Fall Lake Campground is located in the Superior National Forest
about ten miles east of Ely, Minnesota on the edge of the Boundary
Waters  Canoe
Area Wilderness. The Superior National Forest, totaling more
than 3 million acres, is dense with pine, fir, spruce, birch,
and poplar trees. It is home to numerous wildlife species including
grouse, deer, moose, timber wolf, and black bear.
The campground is situated in a mixed stand of aspen, birch,
spruce, and pine. It has excellent paved interior roads and gravel
camp spurs. There are a number of sites (15-20) that have 20/30
amp electrical hookups. Our cost was $7.00 per night (10-99).
One attraction you must not miss is the International Wolf
Center in Ely. They offer educational presentations, general
tours and videos on all aspects of wolf life. They also have
numerous displays that are interesting and well done.
